Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
EMPALS (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through empals.in, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”). EMPALS is an early-stage project. For any questions, email hello.empals@gmail.com.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you join the waitlist or use the contact form, we collect your email address and any other details you choose to share — such as your name, organisation, role, and message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we collect limited usage data — such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device/browser type — through analytics and tracking tools (see section 5).
2. How we use it
- To add you to our early-access waitlist and notify you when access opens.
- To respond to your enquiries and partnership requests.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and working.
3. Consent
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7); withdrawing it won’t affect processing already carried out.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- HubSpot — forms, CRM and email (data hosted in the EU).
- Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
These providers may only use your data to provide their services to us.
5. Cookies & analytics
empals.in uses HubSpot’s tracking script and Vercel Analytics to understand site usage. These may set cookies or collect device identifiers. You can block cookies in your browser settings; doing so won’t affect the core functionality of the site.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above — typically until you ask us to delete it or our early-access programme ends — after which we delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may access the data we hold about you, correct or update it, request its deletion, and withdraw your consent. To exercise any of these, email hello.empals@gmail.com.
8. Children’s data
EMPALS builds tools for neurodivergent children, but this website and our waitlist are intended for adults — parents, guardians, educators and partners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this site. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
10. Contact & grievances
For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact us at hello.empals@gmail.com.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as EMPALS grows. We’ll post the new version here with an updated date.
